The Music Therapy team of The Montreal Children's Hospital (MCH) of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) today launched its first collection of lullabies. The project was realized by music therapists Christelle Jacquet and Pascal Comeau and features 12 acoustic songs in eight different languages.
The album brings together a number of artists, each performing in their mother tongue, whether it's French, English, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Czech, Yiddish or Arabic. They also share something of their cultural heritage with these special stories and songs which people from all over the world draw upon to help their little babies drift off to sleep. The album also includes three original compositions from Jennifer Rose Lapointe, Christine Steele and Christelle Jacquet.
